On Sunday, March 4th, 2018, I had the honor of bringing Hello, Goodbye, & Peace to the Cincinnati campus of Hebrew Union College- Jewish Institute of Religion. The gracious invitation came from one of my most beloved teachers, Rabbi Ken Kanter, to perform at the annual concert series he hosts in memory of his wife, Wendy Kanter. Joined by longtime musical partners Will Robertson and Caroline Patterson, as well as two new bandmates, Jerry Kimbrough and Rabbi Ari Ballaban, we had the opportunity to share 16 original compositions that I’ve written either on my own, with Will, or with my wife, Rabbi Loren Filson Lapidus, over the years.

It’s quite literally impossible to recap the entire experience or what it means to me to have returned to HUC Cincinnati, where I was ordained as a rabbi in 2008. Suffice it to say that this was quite possibly the most meaningful invitation to share my music that I can imagine.

Here’s the live stream of the concert. I’ve looked back on snippets of it and am so happy with the way the performance unfolded.
